CSA in ATMOS
Over the years, CSA has organized various Events, Workshops and
Talks under the CS Domain in ATMOS. Some of our works have been
briefed below:
Bid Up Vamps: An event which tests Data Structure and
Algorithm Skills but with an added twist of bidding for the Data
Structure participants want to use for solving the problem.
Cloud Computing Workshop: A 3 day workshop providing
introduction to the realm of the newest trending topic of Cloud
Computing, along with lifetime access to learning resources.
Operation Zodiac: A thrilling adventure to save different
timelines and identify the murderer with the help of hints and
clues provided.
Fastest Frontend First: An web page building Event which
required CSS, HTML and JS skills which familiarized the
participants with Designing and Building a web page precisely. Cryptography Workshop: A 2 Day Workshop covering the
basics of Cryptography with both theoretical and practical
experiences on the topic.
A Talk on Web 3.0
Capture The Flag: A Cryptography based Competition requiring
Speed and Coding Skills at your disposal.
Algomaniac: An Event where participants compete to become
fastest solvers of the given Algorithms with accuracy.
Code Golf: A Coding Contest where the “Shortest Code” wins.
Hence everyone had to put their coding skills to the ultimate test.
Binary Battles: 1v1 Knockout Style Coding Competition, instead
of the conventional ones.
Paper Presentation: Teams were to give a Paper Presentation on
their Topics of Interest in front of a jury. One of the Trending
Topics during the time was IoT(Internet of Things).
Ethical Hacking Workshop: A 2 Day Workshop which gave the
students an understanding about Ethical Hacking progressing from
basic to advanced topic. Data Science Workshop: 2 Day Workshop which helped the
students understand the absolute basics of Data Science as well as
advancing to the intrinsic and complicated details.
Googled: An Event based on something we use daily. Participants
had to capture highlights of the pictures in front of them quickly
and answer in mere 30 seconds.
Microsoft Talk of NLP: This was held by 3 brilliant speakers
from Microsoft itself who were working in the field of NLP.
Google Developers Group: CSA associated with the highly
prestigious GDG Hyderabad for one of the Editions of ATMOS.
They covered topics ranging from TensorFlow to Kotlin.
Inter BITS Coding League: An initiative to improve the overall
exposure of CS Students for their Major by hosting an Inter BITS
Coding Competition.
Wikimedia Hackathon: A Hackathon organized in collaboration
with the Wiki Group. GSoC Orientation: GSoC is a great avenue for students to have
real world experience on how to propose and solve problems.
Henceforth, CSA conducted an orientation to GSoC where
previous students who qualified it shared their experiences and
how future participants should go about the process.
AlgoMech: An Event where participants had to use their
understanding and knowledge of Algorithms to solve real world
problems using Mechanics. The Event was in collaboration with
MEA.
DreamWorks Animation Prerequisite Workshop: An
Introduction to WebGL and Three.js
DreamWorks Talk: Employees at DreamWorks share what they
do in their company and the opportunities present in the animation
sector.
DreamWorks Workshop: A Glimpse of how the company works
and imparting several important skills to the participants.
Microsoft Talk on ML and Cloud Computing Talk on
Hyperscale Networking in Microsoft Azure: A Talk held by the
Corporate Vice President of Microsoft then, Albert Greenberg.
